Why Doodling is important

Art is a passion of mine so for me to Doodle or draw everyday is not a hard thing to do. But for others is is a challenge. My suggestion is fir everyone to learn how to doodle

It is important to find a creative outlet to that part of your mind that I refer to as the day dreaming side.  Drawing or Doodling every day can set those colorful day dreams you have into a very creative world for yourself and others. Doodling gives your mind the ok to freely to look at the world differently, it gives  you a perspective that is open and different than others.

It is important for you to understand that you do not need to have the artistic talent gene in your brain or body. You jus need to want to create. Drawing a box with different configurations , or a stick figure, create a flowchart. Doodling while make a flow chart or a project chart is just as creative s drawing a picture. Either one allows your brain to work in a different way.

You can use any media for this journey you are on. Try using a computer art program, a paper art journal or  the edges of notes you use for school, work, or organizing your day.

For example:

These drawings were done on the edges of work and meeting notebooks I used. thus the lines you see in the background, and in art journals. The only  difference between using an art journal is the the cleaner picture from the art journal, as opposed to the lined paper from a notebook. But the affects still the same. You are being creative.

I use to doodle in meetings because unlike others in the room I used the doodling to think about pieces of the conversations going on around me. It gave me an opportunity to clear my mind and look at a problem in a different way, and how I might solve it.  Of course I will have to admit that there were times that I just wasn't interested in that conversation
